Newcastle's U23 side
recorded a third successive home victory on Wednesday, having hastily
relocated from a waterlogged Whitley Park to a slightly less soggy pitch at nearby Little Benton.
Beaten 3-4 on Tyneside by Burnley in their opening Premier League Cup group
stage game in September, United found themselves in another goal spree - but

first shot was saved and Heardman tucked in the rebound.
Cullen's second of the game six minutes later made it 5-2 before Heardman
converted his fourth goal in the 70th minute, Barlaser claiming another
But the Swans weren't finished and Adnan Maric got their third from close in
with nine minutes remaining.
