You can't believe it can you? Half way round the globe and on a boat with just 70 people and who should saunter up? A gloating, globe-trotting mackem. A bit of Great Barrier Grief....
Of course, I gave as good as I got and we both had a laugh at Messrs Robson and Vegetables and the bottom-placed Smoggies of Teesside.
It made me realise just how small this globe really is and how technological advances have left few stones unturned.
We've had thousands of messages from all over the planet thanking us for the website, which never fails to amaze us.
But it's only when work drags you to one of the four corners that you see how vital it is to be properly informed of all the latest goings-on back home.
I had the misfortune to witness our Worthless Cup exit, hours before departure and after Saturday's Highbury humiliation, being 12,000 miles away is probably the safest place to be!
