Just when you thought the season was petering out, the last few days have proved that it's still alive and kicking.
The Under 17 side secured a place in the final of their Premier Youth
Playoffs by beating Boro at St. James' Park 3-1. They now face Ipswich in a two-legged final.
First leg is at Portman Road this Saturday, with the return leg next
Wednesday, 23rd at St. James' again.
And then we had Bobby's outburst earlier in the week. He was upset at a
small amount of criticism being reported in the local press.
Being a native doesn't excuse him from taking flak. Don't forget that one of his predecessors was having a shirt thrown in his face when losing 3-0 at Anfield. Instead, Bobby's name was still being sung in adulation.
If the criticism helped the performance against Arsenal then long may it last.
