Laurent Robert Interview 14

Taken from his own official (French Language) website 26.10.01

You play Everton this weekend. It's a significant match as you try not to slip further down the league following the poor display last week against Tottenham:

Of course. It's absolutely vital to bring back at least a point from this fixture and we will be doing everything to achieve this goal. After having lost to Tottenham at home, we find ourself in tenth place in the league. It's a pity because we were towards the top previously - It's time to fight back.

On the other hand, if you lost your position would become more complicated:

We would need to know the results from the teams around us to judge our situation. But we don't think of losing, and we're looking to take at least a point from Everton.

Has Bobby Robson decided to stick with the 3-5-2 formation?

In training this morning we played with a back four, but nothing has been finalised. In any case, I played on the left wing and prefer to do so in front of a back four.

Do you have any injuries this weekend?

No, nobody is injured, however Robert Lee is sick and there is very little chance of him playing.

Next Tuesday Roger Lemerre announces the French squad for Australia. Do you think about being in it?

No, I don't put myself under pressure. I have an important match tomorrow and there'll be time to think about the French team afterwards. We'll see what happens.
