Laurent Robert Interview 59

Taken from his own official (French Language) website 22.04.02

Newcastle obtained a clear cut victory over Charlton at St James' Park on Saturday (3-0) was there any anxiety during the game?

No , not really. Charlton are a team who play well on the ball, but they found it hard to break us down, they didn't really have an out and out chance in front of our goal. We took control of the game in midfield and went forward well to find our attackers. We deserved to win the game overall.

What sort of game did you have?

Good. I started the game very well. I didn't get too many chances, but did my work as usual. I came off at 2-0 together with Solano. The boss preferred to save us for the Blackburn game.

With Chelsea and Leeds losing this weekend, you're in a healthy league position now.

All we need now is a draw to qualify for the Champions League. We can do it against Blackburn tomorrow.

Will it be a difficult game at Blackburn?

As always away from home, it won't be simple. Blackburn won the league cup this season and are a nice side. With Andy Cole up front they can score at any time. We'll be watching him very closely. Any how, a draw will do us, and we'll do everything to get that.

Do you have any absentees for tomorrow?

No, everyone's fit. Bellamy's back, and we have a complete squad. As for myself, I'm feeling good.
