Since joining Newcastle United in the Summer of 1996, Alan Shearer has continued to display the goalscoring prowess that first thrilled Southampton and Blackburn fans. However, he's also endured serious injury and loss of form, and taken his fair share of criticism. While he is still to win a trophy with Newcastle, his Semi-Final goals shot us to Wembley in successive years, and at one stage it looked as if his form in front of goal and partnership with Les Ferdinand would see the Premiership trophy make its way to St.James' Park.
