Goals

The opening goal for Newcastle U21s was subsequently credited to Trevan Sanusi rather than an own goal by Temple Ojinnaka as previously reported.

That's a first strike at this level for the 16 year-old winger in only his second PL2 start. Sanusi was joined in the starting XI by fellow 16 year-old Leo Shahar.

17 year-old midfielder Anthony Munda also netted a debut U21 goal on a night when their forward line included two 18 year-olds; Ben Parkinson and recent signing Alfie Harrison.

A last-gasp effort from midfielder Anthony Munda ensured that Newcastle U21s avoided defeat against Wolves in Monday's PL2 encounter at Kidderminster.

The green-clad Magpies went ahead when Trevan Sanusi's shot home on eight minutes, Wolves player Temple Ojinnaka making an attempt to block but deflecting it over the line.

Wolves responded in the second minute of added time, Tom Edozie levelling from point-blank range after Will Brown failed to deal with Ty Barnett's initial shot.

And the hosts led for the first time in the game on 62 minutes, teenager Edozie netting his second of the night after Ojinnaka's first attempt hit the crossbar.

Back came United though and as the 90th minute ticked round, Munda shot home to register his first reserve team goal and salvage a point.
