It may not have been in the Nou Camp, but Bobby Robson was watching from the director's box at Millfield as his side won the Barcelona Cup on Thursday night.

Former United defender and SKY Masters veteran, Kevin Scott, lined up for Crook Town and completed the full match.

A decent crowd of 1,000 plus turned out on a fine night to see Lewis Guy score four, Alan O'Brien(2), Darren Ambrose, Kris Gate, Martin Brittain and an own goal took United into double figures as they  claimed the trophy won by Durham City last season.

Match highlights:

90 seconds quick throw down the right by Guy to the unmarked O'Brien. He swivelled and found the incoming Ambrose but the midfielder laced his first effort wide from barely six yards.

7 mins Crook defender Paul Freeman lashed the ball past his own 'keeper from close range under pressure from an attacker, after Guy had found space in the right hand side of the Crook area and centred. 1-0

10 mins Ambrose strode in from the left flank to slide a low shot home after gliding past three defenders. 2-0

19 mins Ambrose worked an opening and forced a save from the home keeper. Guy returned the rebound into the net but was flagged offside.

However within seconds a defensive slip up handed Newcastle possession just outside the box and Ambrose played in the unmarked Alan O'Brien, who steadied himself before driving the ball home. 3-0

21 mins O'Brien again raced through the middle and outpaces last man before rounding the keeper and finishing from close range. 4-0

30 mins Elliott's corner was converted cleverly by Lewis Guy, who netted with a deliberate back header that eluded the 'keeper. 5-0

32 mins Ferrell squared the ball from the left and Guy had acres of room to stab home number six. 6-0

34 mins a good stop from the Crook 'keeper to palm away Ambrose's curling free kick.

39 mins more trickery from Ambrose but the 'keeper again did well, rushing off his line to smother the danger.

43 mins Elliott fouled the Crook number 9 and the referee pointed to the spot. His strike partner Andy Morris sent Bartlett the wrong way as he planted his left footed shot home. 6-1

HT 6-1

58mins Ramage knocked home a rebound from close range but was again foiled by a linesman's flag.

66 mins Ramage was denied once again by a last ditch saving challenge from a home defender after Guy had sent him clear in the area.

71 mins The sub home 'keeper was beaten for the first time as Guy completed his hat-trick and netted with a low shot from the right side of the box into the far corner. 7-1

76 mins Occupying a central midfield role, Kris Gate converted with a shot from the edge of the box after bringing the ball forward in tandem with Brittain. 8-1

86 mins Guy turned provider down the left to thread the ball through from the left side of the box to Brittain, who clipped it home for his first of the night. 9-1

89 mins O'Brien used his pace down the left to run into space before picking out Guy who knocked the ball home from 10 yards. 10-1
