Richard Money told the club's official website that:

"I thought the penalty was maybe a little harsh but Tim's pulled off a fantastic save.

"Tim's a really good goalkeeper and he looks the part. He was confident and assured all night and had a very good game. It's great to have the likes of Tim involved, as well as the likes of Alan Smith and Xisco this season, because they see the effort the younger lads put in and look after them."

"I can't believe Nile's goal was disallowed, it was a terrific header and all he's done is climb highest at the far post. But Frank's strike was a great goal and a goal that deserved to be on a winning side. But all in all I though the lads were terrific.

"It was a really good game and both teams were really going at it. We always looked very dangerous and had a spell in the first-half when we were well on top. We have asked the lads to play at a high tempo. We play with good organisation and always have a real good go at it."

"Ben Tozer did very well - he's not trained or played for five months, but despite that I thought it was his best game for the club and I'm pleased for him."

Our reserves extended their unbeaten run to ten games in all competitions, drawing once again with their Red Devils counterparts at Altrincham's Moss Lane on Thursday.

And although the Magpies fell behind on nine minutes to a Corey Evans shot, a right-footed 30 yard raker from Frank Wiafe Danquah levelled matters just ten minutes later.

Newcastle stayed on the attack and Nile Ranger looked to have given them the lead on 36 minutes when he climbed to head home Shane Ferguson's cross. However the effort was ruled out, presumably for the faintest of pushes.

Although the second half was more even, Richard Money's side continued to threaten and Xisco came close on the hour, taking a long upfield pass from James Tavernier before hitting the outside of the post from a tight angle.

The Red Devils were presented with a great chance to regain the lead on 79 minutes, when long -term injury victim Ben Tozer penalised for a foul on Lee Martin in the box on his return to the side.

Fabio stepped up to take the resultant spot kick, but Tim Krul kept it out to keep the score tied. Newcastle then twice came close, when Xisco's effort was cleared off the line and a textbook Tozer header produced an equally noteworthy save from Tomasz Kuszczak in the home goal.

One final excursion across the M62 to face Liverpool at Warrington next Wednesday will wrap up the league season, before SJP hosts the Northumberland Senior Cup Final against Ashington on Tuesday May 12th.
