Newcastle U21s lost their 100% in this season's National League Cup
at the third attempt on Tuesday night, beaten by Scunthorpe United at the Attis
Arena.
Trialist forward Aramide Oteh took advantage of defensive failings
to give the The Iron a 33rd minute lead against the run of play.
That gave the hosts confidence and they deservedly doubled their
advantage through Declan Howe, 10 minutes from the end of normal
time.
Defeat leaves the Magpies third in the table, needing a win in their
final game at Halifax on December 16th to overhaul the second-placed
Shaymen and reach the knockout stage.
